We are looking to add value to Banks Creek Retreat so we can make this beautiful location a hub of social activity and healing.
We would also like to help any Emergency Service or ADF member build a business based on community spirit who may need a free location to operate from.
We are seeking expressions of interest from individuals or businesses to run activities on our property which promote positive mental health amongst the Emergency Service and ADF community.
- Mindfulness Activities
- Meditation and mindfulness
- Tai-Chi
- Archery
- Yoga
- Pilates
- Breathworks
- Sound healing – Music and/or drum circles
- Nature based healing and exploration
- Alternative heart and soul activities
- Mental Health and counselling
- Professionals wishing to lead small groups in discussions providing mental health advice and strategies
- Sharing circles
- Men’s and Women’s circles
- Teaching and Learning style activities
- Aromatherapy
- Art and craft groups
- Music groups
- Martial Arts training
- Sporting or fitness activities
- Fun family events – Backyard cricket, volleyball, Boche, kids activities
- Bootcamps
- Walking or hiking in the D’Aguilar or local area
- Camping and Recreation focussed activities
- Camp cooking
- Camp craft
- Other activities we haven’t thought of…
We would not expect these activities to be offered for free, however businesses would be able to use Banks Creek Retreat facilities at no cost, providing we can see the activity provides benefit to our community.
We would ask nothing in return, other than:
- That you operate the service on a regular basis on site at our property or near our property.
- That you have appropriate insurances.
- It is preferable that the owner/operator is from an Emergency Service or ADF background, but not essential if it is the right service.
- That you handle all bookings, are self sufficient, can operate in a remote location and coordinate with the property owners (Grant and Nicole) regarding all operations. We can post links and contact numbers via our website and Facebook Group to help with the process.
- The business is focussed on improving the mental health, or physical well-being of ADF and Emergency Service families. This is not a service for the “general public” with the exception of the direct family members of a Veteran or Emergency Service colleague.
- We can assist in promoting the activity/business through our website and Facebook group (5000+ members) – https://www.facebook.com/groups/BanksCreekRetreat/
If you are interested in seeking a long term partnership with our Emergency Service and ADF community, please send an email to bankscreekretreat@gmail.com or contact me directly on 0401 182 744 (Grant).
